Referees Corner - Rules Clarification

This group is a dedicated space for verified Ontario high school football coaches within OFSAA to discuss officiating, rule interpretation, and game management in the Canadian high school football context.

The focus is on building a better understanding between coaches and officials to improve consistency, communication, and the overall quality of the game.

Coaches are encouraged to engage in:

• Rule interpretation and clarification discussions

• Situational officiating scenarios and case studies

• Game management and flow (penalties, tempo, substitutions)

• Best practices for coach–referee communication

• Points of emphasis from officials and associations

• Understanding mechanics and positioning of referees
